We have a great history worthy of pride, great ancestors worthy of love. Today in Uzbekistan there are over 100 thousand ancient artifacts. This figure itself clearly shows the invaluable services of our outstanding ancient scientists in various branches of science. A significant part of these masterpieces is kept in the manuscript fund of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as in the manuscript fund of the Library of the Muslim Board, in the funds of the heritage of manuscript sources of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan.
Special attention to great personalities, to our written cultural heritage will be given at the Center for Islamic Civilization, which is being created in Tashkent on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the Khazrati Imam (Hastimom) region. The decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 23, 2017 “On measures to create the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan” provides for the allocation of special pavilions dedicated to the heritage of our scientists, and also provides for familiarization with them in order to study the history, works of our great ancestors …
After reading the book “Avliyolarim” (“My Saints”), Ph.D. in political sciences Kamron Shaniyazov, as a descendant of our great ancestors living in Tashkent, I considered it important to express my opinion about this book as about the generation of our great ancestors.
When I was in school, my late father, Soatov Tojiboy, told us the following words: “My son, we are the descendants of great ancestors, our ancestors were smart, wise, popular and respected people of their time. Therefore, you must study well and grow up worthy of our great ancestors. ”

Taking into account the above words of my late father, I studied well at school, then entered one of the universities of Leningrad (St. Petersburg), successfully graduated in 1982 and began working at one of the special enterprises in Tashkent. After our country gained independence, I worked at enterprises of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Defense, and the Cabinet of Ministers.
My late father recalled a lot and talked a lot about our ancestors, but did not give complete information about them. It should be noted that during the reading of the book “Avliyolarim” the names of our ancestors were mentioned, a lot of information about their cultural and educational heritage was presented, the genealogies connecting them with us were given. The book “Avliolarim” helped me get a clear idea of our ancestors, of which I am a descendant. This clarity not only increased my respect for my ancestors, but also increased my self-esteem and, of course, my love, affection and respect for the history and heritage of these people, for Uzbekistan, the land where these people lived.
This book makes it my responsibility to act as a bridge in the realization that I and my relatives are the descendants of great ancestors today, and the transmission and information about them to present and future generations. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev calls today to restore the names of our great historical ancestors, to study and popularize their scientific, cultural and educational heritage on a global scale, to carry out restoration, renovation, improvement of historical monuments, and the construction of the Center for Islamic Civilization in the country. Holding conferences and other large-scale events, preserving, studying and passing on historical heritage from generation to generation, which is one of the most important priorities of our public policy, will certainly inspire us in this regard and encourage us to make the maximum contribution.
I hope that the book by Kamron Shaniyazov “Avliyolarim”, published in three languages (Uzbek, Russian, English), will be important for the study, research and popularization of the heritage of our great ancestors all over the world, and this book will be used in the processes of education in higher and secondary educational institutions of the republic.
This book enriches the spiritual world of the younger generation, strengthens in their minds the spirit of respect for the heritage of their ancestors, and will help them and serve as an important educational factor in the development of a generation worthy of our ancestors.
I hope that Kamron Shaniyazov will continue his scientific work on the study of new aspects of the rich heritage of our great ancestors and present us with a new, even more interesting, information-rich book, and I wish him success in this great, creative research work.
